A-bian: Ma ought to be executed.

Along with Chen Yunlin. Talk about rhetorical flourish.

A-bian is claiming that by communicating with the enemy (Chen Yunlin), Ma Ying-jeou will be violating article 104 of the criminal law that reads:

名稱:中華民國刑法 (民國 97 年 01 月 02 日 修正)

第 104 條

通謀外國或其派遣之人,意圖使中華民國領域屬於該國或他國者,處死刑
或無期徒刑。
前項之未遂犯罰之。
預備或陰謀犯第一項之罪者,處三年以上十年以下有期徒刑。
The key passage being,
Conspiring with a foreign agent or some other dispatched person, with the intention to cause R.O.C. territory to become part of that agent's country or another country, shall be punishable by death or life in prison.
Don't expect anyone to be prosecuted on this count.

A-bian's just trying to keep himself front and center and remake himself as a hero, which will also make it easier to say all charges against him are purely political. He's also trying to stoke anger before the Ma-Chen summit.

A-bian has become a joke.

The "reporting" on A-bian by the pan-blue media has always been and will always be the biggest joke; therefore, it should always be treated as such.

Notice, for example, how the video behind that link snips out the parenthesized part of this:
- - -
"(According to article 104,) Ma should be sentenced to death, right?"
- - -

... making for a meme that's much more likely to be passed around. Notice the insinuation of the "reporter's" closing statement, too:
- - -
"... [Chen's] supporters shouldn't forget how many cases are being prosecuted against him and his family."
- - -

And really, if anybody's "trying to stoke anger," wouldn't that be China, the KMT, and the blue media?

Make no mistake about it, the man with blood on his hands will be Ma Ying-jeou when the almost inevitable bloody conflict takes place during Chen's visit.

Flourish or not, this meeting should not be allowed to take place under the current circumstances. Having it take place at a known focal point, allowing 2 opposing forces to congregate in one location is asking for trouble to happen and is piss-poor leadership on Ma's part.

But what else is new?

Chen knows what parts will be snipped before he makes statements. These things are calculated. I don't think he cares. The claim on the basis of article 104 is a stretch at best anyway.

And when you talk about executions, you're trying to keep the blood running hot.

And yes, Ma will have to bear responsibility for the likely conflicts during Chen's visit.

LOL (but not rolling on the floor). That makes it sound like he conspired with 東森"新聞" AMERICA against himself.

And I know this is being picky, but I didn't hear Chen say "execute" -- what I heard was "sentence." The story has already been exaggerated by 東森"新聞." No need to assist them in any way, shape, or form.
