The signs just keep a-comin'
The Liberty Times is disappointed, but not surprised, that a single utterance from the Minister of Justice about Diana Diane Lee's case taking too long had a very fast result, with the Taipei District Court restricting her travel out of the country within hours of the Minister's statement.
Sign of the times, it would seem...

Conveniently, round about the time Diane Lee was issued a restraining order, the entire computer systems of Taiwan custom for checking the identifications of travels in/out of Taiwan in the airport suddenly suffered complete meltdown. The identifications of tens of thousands of travelers were have to be written down by hands without the possibility of examining them at the time of their checkins.
It's like magic. The airport has two separate computer systems for checking the ids of travelers. BOTH systems were dead at the same time.
At the meantime, Diane Lee hasn't shown up in public since December 25th last year. No body knows her whereabouts.
Her lawyer claims that she's still in Taiwan, because "I have talked with her last night over the phone."
We should ask her lawyer is the country code began with a 1, or a 86.
