China wants to help with Ma's constrution projects

UDN has a strong pro-blue bias, but China Times just makes stuff up all the time, so take this report with a tablespoon of salt.

But according to the paper's unnamed sources, Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce Chen Deming (陳德銘) privately signaled interest to Vice President-elect Vincent Siew (蕭萬長) that China would like to see Chinese companies win contracts for Ma Ying-jeou's "12 love Taiwan" construction projects.

Chen also reportedly signaled to Siew that the Chinese would certainly be able to provide a better value than anyone else in the world.

Update: Looks legit. CNA reports Siew basically invited the Chinese to bid on projects as well, and it was only then that Chen Deming expressed strong interest in Chinese companies winning some of the contracts.
