High Court corrupt?

I'm sickened by the possibility that four High Court judges and a prosecutor accepted bribes from a (former) KMT legislator. There may be several additional, undisclosed investigations into judicial corruption as well.

This sort of thing is a deathblow to confidence in an institution. If even the High Court can be corrupted, what verdict can escape suspicion?

It's not new to Taiwanese that the court system is corrupt in different ways, including being used as a political tool to "fix" someone they don't like.

Therefore, it wouldn't be a surprise to me if it later reveals that the "court" that is currently prosecuting those alleged "corrupt court" is acting under some sort of political instructions.

Certainly, as always, it will be done in the name of justice.

With that in mind, it might be too early to reach any conclusion yet.
